ZIRCONIUM SUPPORTED PROSTHESIS
In this system, zirconium, a white alloy, is used instead of metal as a substructure. This state-of-the-art infrastructure is the only material that can offer aesthetics and durability together. The biggest advantage of the system is that it provides a full aesthetic appearance to the bridges in the back area with very high strength.
For many years, a metal substructure was used under the porcelain tooth for durability in porcelain applications. Since the disadvantages of this metal substructure in terms of gums, dental tissue, general body health and most importantly aesthetics are known, the search for an alternative material to metal in porcelain infrastructure has been ongoing for years. A new era was opened with the application of zirconium, which was used successfully in other fields of medicine, instead of porcelain metal in dentistry.
Because these new zirconium-based porcelain veneers do not cause gum problems and allergies, as well as providing aesthetics and function close to natural teeth with their light transmission feature.
Crown (coating) and bridges made by placing porcelain on zirconium are known with the short name CERCON, which is a combination of the words Ceramic and Zirconium. The system with 900 Mpa resistance has started a brand new era in dentistry by covering the highest physical values, light transmission feature, tissue compatibility and many different indications.
The success of the material has been proven in medicine and industry. As a result of the researches that started in 1998, clinical applications have been started all over the world since the beginning of 2002. With this new application, the aesthetic concerns of the patient in metal-ceramic and full ceramic restorations are definitely eliminated.
Cercon: It is a product with the highest quality achieved to date in the basic requirements of modern dentistry, in terms of aesthetics, strength, tissue compatibility and naturalness.
LAMINATE VENEER (PORCELAIN LAMINES)
Laminate Veneer (Porcelain Lamina) are porcelain leaves that are affixed to the teeth by removing a minimum of material from the front surface of the teeth.
A thin layer of 1 mm from the outer surface of the tooth should be measured and the porcelain laminates prepared on the model should be rehearsed and adhered to the tooth in the most appropriate way.
Maximum aesthetics is achieved with minimum damage to the tooth. Interdental spaces, crowding and caries can be easily removed with this method.
The desired color can be given to the tooth and this color never changes. The appearance is very natural. The procedures take a few sessions. Its cost is high.
Who is Laminate Veneer Applied?
• For Those Who Are Not Satisfied With The Form Of Teeth
• Teeth Coloration in the Anterior Region (Tetracycline Coloration etc.)
• Those whose teeth are spaced
In cases with large fillings in the anterior teeth and lacking aesthetic appearance as a result of filling the decay with filling.
• People whose front teeth are broken or worn
Due to the enamel and dentin structure, the procedures performed to remove the darker than normal teeth and discoloration that occur on them due to various reasons are called TOOTH WHITENING - BLEACHING.
Whitening up to 9-10 tons (3m scale) can be provided harmlessly with the tooth whitening process. The materials used during tooth whitening are for professional use and are made with personalized medicines after the dentist examination. Agents sold in cosmetics that are not under the control of a dentist are very ineffective and can damage tooth structures. Food residues accumulated on the teeth, stains occurring due to the use of tea - coffee - smoking and brushing habits are cleaned by the tartar and plaque cleaning in the office and the polishing process to be done afterwards. After these procedures, the teeth are ready for tooth whitening.
Bleaching is done in 2 ways:
Home Bleaching (Applied at Home):
It is a method that you will apply yourself at home with the direction and instructions of your dentist. A personalized bleaching plaque is prepared with the measurement taken from the patient's mouth. When you go to bed at night, a water-based whitening drug is put into this plaque and teeth whitening is achieved with the plaque and medicine left in the mouth overnight. This process should be applied for 7-10 days depending on the amount of whitening of the teeth and the desired result.
Office Bleaching (Clinically Applied):
It is the whitening process applied by the Dentist in cases where fast bleaching is desired. The gums are isolated, a drug is applied on the teeth, and the blue light used in radiant fillings is applied on them to increase the effectiveness of the drug. The process is terminated when the desired whiteness is achieved after repeated sessions. However, recent research suggests that the home-type teeth whitening method should be continued as a support after office-type teeth whitening.
- What should be considered in Bleaching Treatment?
Bleaching is a procedure that must be done under the control of the dentist, strictly following the instructions.
