The operation applied to the breasts with sagging breast tissue that is lower than where it should be is a breast lift operation. Breast sagging may be due to genetic characteristics, or it can often occur after birth and after weight loss.

The use of a special bra that covers the breasts for the first 2 months contributes to the shaping of the breasts. The bra also reduces the movement of the breast and provides comfort to the patient in the movements made by using the chest muscle.

The most important structure to be preserved in breast lift surgery is the nipples. It is aimed to carry the nipples by protecting their blood-nerve connections so that they do not lose their sensory and color properties. Smoking, circulatory diseases, diabetes and long-term use of some medications that adversely affect blood circulation can cause circulation problems in the nipple and suture areas, which may negatively affect the result of the surgery.

If breast sagging is accompanied by a lack of breast volume, silicone breast prosthesis is used during breast lift surgery. Low-grade breast sagging can only be achieved by breast augmentation surgery with silicone breast prosthesis.
